He is a versatile public speaker. His business experience as an employed executive includes public relations, advertising, market research, product management and Marketing Director positions. The Personal and Political StuffJohn is married to Shirley S. Alquist. He is the father of four young adults. He has two wonderful, handsome grandsons.
He enjoys Bible study as his principal hobby. He is a Pentecostal Christian.
Politically, Mr. Alquist has been active as a candidate for school board and was campaign manager for the previous Charlotte Mayor, now a member of the United States House of Representatives. Mr. Alquist is politically Libertarian and morally conservative.
