Patricia Adams considers her most important jobs to be Woman of God, Wife, and Mother. Patricia admits that she takes all these attributes into the workplace as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, professional speaker, trainer, consultant, and author. Through her company, Zeitgeist Expressions Inc., Patricia provides individual, marital, family, foster parenting, adoption, and adolescent counseling. As an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) affiliate, Zeitgeist provides Crisis intervention response with 36 plus insurance carriers such as BCBS, CIGNA, UBH, and CCN. Zeitgeist provides services in 18 states, has 53 employees, and serves state, federal and corporate clients.
As a Chaplain for Methodist HealthCare System, Ms. Adams provided emotional, psychological, spiritual, and educational support to survivors of sexual trauma. She firmly believes that “there is nothing more important to the health of our society than a strong, wholesome family unit.” She is working on two books The ABC’s of Change and Between Mothers and Daughters, to be published in 2007. Patricia has mentored five women entrepreneurs who have established private practices to provide mental health services. She also mentors groups in Dallas/Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Alaska, and another in Maryland. Patricia is currently providing financial support and mentoring to two students attending secondary school in Uganda, Africa. Patricia serves on a number of boards in the mental health field, and has been a member of NAWBO since 2003.
Zeitgeist is best known as a company that strives to educate state, federal and corporate clients on the importance of employer-employee wellness. We provide educational seminars and training sessions, and have recently established a wellness division that includes Physical Therapy, On-site Chair Massages, and Stretching classes for long-distance truck drivers as well as Magnetic Therapy sessions.
