In many ways, TuTecnología.com represents the future of learning using social media tools and the power of the Internet to disseminate information quickly and efficiently.

Coro conceived Tu Tecnología using crowdsourcing where many members contribute for the benefit of the community, a truly innovative operational model where everyone wins.

With more than a decade of real world experience, Coro is widely recognized as a national expert in consumer electronics, education, social media and marketing and is a highly sought after consultant and speaker. He is also a founding member of the Convergence Technology Council and serves on its executive board.

Coro's life story demonstrates the power of ingenuity and problem solving especially when one's resources are limited. Born in Havana, Cuba, Coro enjoyed learning about technology and electronics from an early age. At 15, he cobbled together one of the first homemade, illegal satellite dishes in the country made from parts of an old Soviet radio, a coffee can, a mosquito net, and available electronic components. The dish worked as well as any made by a high-tech firm. He used the dish to watch television channels that were forbidden and meant only for the island's tourists and government officials.  This newly found access to information transformed his life. Not only did it educate him, but it also opened a window for him to the outside world. He then ventured into the world of computers and was among the first people on the island to have access to e-mail. This eventually led him to flee the island at age 18. When he arrived in the U.S., he had a limited formal education, and was barely able to speak English but that didn't stop him.

Freedom offered Coro the opportunity to build a career with his self-taught technology and communication skills. He started a technology consulting business, which lead him to work for Check Point Software and The Space Telescope Science Institute where the Hubble Space Telescope was managed. In 2004 he arrived at Cisco Systems in California, where he consulted for large clients and communicated at key events and executive briefings on their behalf.

Coro has been a featured speaker at numerous events including keynote addresses and workshops at national and international conferences.  His speeches and workshops are charged with a great sense of humor and practical content that audiences remember long after his presentation. This attribute has resulted in several accolades, as Coro is frequently praised for being among the most gifted of speakers.

He divides his times between consulting, his TV appearances, writing the Tu Tecnología column, managing the Tu Tecnología online community and public speaking.

Coro's mission is to educate latinos so they can lose fear and embrace technology. He firmly believes that the adoption and successful application of technology can improve, nurture, and even save people' people's lives and even the planet’s. After all, it saved his.
