David Zach
A thoughtful, fascinating futurist speaking on strategic trends and traditions.
About David Zach:

As a futurist, David Zach has worked with over 1500 associations, corporations and colleges offering insights on the personal and professional impact of strategic trends. In other words, he gives humorous, fascinating and thoughtful talks on both trends and traditions with technology, business, education, demographics and society.

He is also one of the very few professionally trained futurists on the planet, having earned a master's degree in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston. From this education along with his experience of working with a very diverse client base, he knows he can provide more value by helping his audiences understand how to think about the future, and not just provide the gee-whiz forecasts. He believes that fascinating forecasts can be fun, but thoughtful assistance for making long-term choices is what really has lasting value.

David previously worked at Johnson Controls and Northwestern Mutual Life in the roles of environmental scanning and strategic planning. He has also taught Future Studies in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

David is on the board of the American Chesterton Society and just completed a 3 year term on the board of the American Institute of Architects as one of their public directors. At the end of 2012, he recieved an AIAS Presidential Citation for his ongoing work with the American Institute of Architecture Students. Past activities include: Wisconsin Small Business Development Center Advisory Council, the Future Milwaukee Advisory Board, the Community Advisory Board for the local NPR station WUWM, Rotary Club of Milwaukee, chairman of the Goals for Greater Milwaukee 2000 Education Committee and co-chair for Design Milwaukee.
