For the past 20 years, thousands of people with low or no self-esteem have employed the help of psychologist and relationship coach Dr. Anne-Renée Testa to build their confidence and strengthen their personal interactions. Dr. Testa is an advocate of women’s issues, including eliminating domestic violence and verbal abuse. Through her work, Dr. Testa instills the notion that positive thinking and constructive action are powerful tools and the keys to finding the love they desire and deserve.
Author In her new book, “The Bully in Your Relationship” (August 2007 - McGraw-Hill), Dr. Testa guides and encourages readers every step of the way as they gain the courage to stop emotional abuse – also known as bullying -- in their intimate relationships. Dr. Testa teaches readers how to identify various types of bullies and how to take back control of their life.
Dr. Testa teaches her clients her “ART Method” for dealing with bullies: A – Acknowledge the problem; R – Reassess your options and T – Take action and “do it scared.” Dr. Testa doesn’t blindly offer advice on emotional abuse – she has experienced it and overcome it in her own life and believes that with coaching, others can overcome the bullies in their lives too.
Media Expert A frequent guest on FOX NEWS CHANNEL, NBC’s “Today Show,” Court TV, MSNBC, Maury Povich, Montel Williams and several other national television programs, Dr. Testa also produced and hosted 400 episodes of her own cable television talk show “Turning Point.”

Credentials Dr. Testa graduated cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College with a B.S. in Psychology where she has served as an Adjunct Professor; earned a Masters Degree in Psychology from Columbia University; and a Ph.D. from LaSalle University.
Personal Dr. Testa grew up in Bronx, New York. Through drive and self-determination, Dr. Testa has completed seven New York City Marathons and is a strong advocate for physical fitness being the foundation of emotional well-being.
